2002 – Mutant Disco Demo

If my dates are correct, I recorded this in Spring 2002, after just moving to Seattle, and I’m pretty sure I plonked a tape in the tape deck after visiting Platinum Records for the first time. I ripped this from that tape, so the sound quality is clearly not like my other mixes that I recorded to MiniDisc or straight to CD. San Francisco style house was all the rage and I made it a point to collect all of it. Is it perfect? Far from it, but there’s some old gems in there. I trainspotted everything I can recall.
