Check The Tech (2002)

So I found this older master CD in a box when I was moving stuff around in my apartment. I remember making this mix around the same time I made the ‘North Soul’ CD and I believe I gave it out at a few gigs, but never ripped it to digital; it was recorded directly onto a CD burner. It’s 100% vinyl and there’s a flub or two, because I bought some of these tunes at Platinum that day and made the mix when I came home; the errors are mainly because the track just stopped and I wasn’t expecting it.
I don’t have a tracklisting, but I trainspotted a few as I listened to it; most of my older wax is boxed, but I’ll try to make the TL more complete if I can. Lots of my fav tech house tunes and some you may have never heard. Enjoy some nostalgia!

Lately, techno and house have become a bit too trancey-pants and progressive-houseish for my liking. I remembered back to the late 90s, early 2000s when there was the minimal, ‘clack’ house and glitchhouse style that I loved so much. Also back then, techhouse meant house that was almost techno, not the stuff Beatport and others call it, but is really just plain old house.
